Burnt Timber Brewing & Tavern To Release Upta Winni

Upta Winni…

…reflects the brewery’s focus on creating “beers with a twist.”

A family-friendly 24-seat brewpub with rotating beers and full food menu, Burnt Timber Brewing & Tavern will release Upta Winni in April. A rotating dry hopped ale with a simple French pils base malt and voss kveik, a Norwegian farmhouse yeast, Upta Winni (5.5% ABV) reflects the brewery’s focus on creating “beers with a twist.” “We tend to brew our beer seasonally and attempt to utilize foraged or local farm grown ingredients,” explained Owner and Brewer Eddie Michno.

Upta Winni, he added, allows them to continue to deliver balanced beers with a spirit of experimentation. “We will use use hops from Maine, Michigan, or Australia,” he said. “We like to surprise people.”

According to Michno, Burnt Timber Tavern is equally focused on ‘delivering’ a memorable culinary experience. “Our food is not an afterthought,” he explained. “We use different techniques, such as smoking and salting, to create unique flavor profiles.”

This emphasis on advancing their culinary acumen will result in a unique experience for guests this summer, which will include an open-flame outdoor kitchen. “It will give people the chance to see how we create our food,” said Michno, who said they source their food from as many local sources as possible. “We want people to not just enjoy their meal and beer, but understand where it was sourced and who sourced it.”
