Leaf Peeping Season

“We have created an experience here where people of all ages can have a terrific meal with fantastic customer service.”

Leaf peeping season is nearly here, which is a time of year that holds special significance for Burnt Timber Brewing & Tavern.

“This is a time of year where many people visit the Lakes Region for the first time, so this is our chance to help welcome people to the area,” said Burnt Timber Owner Eddie Michno. This welcome, he noted, is “family-friendly.”

“We have food that not only features locally-sourced ingredients, but a menu for kids that will keep them happy, too,” he said. “We have created an experience here where people of all ages can have a terrific meal with fantastic customer service.”

According to Michno, though, the bigger objective for him and his staff is to promote Wolfeboro itself. “This town has some incredible features,” he said. “We have a rail trail and trails that can be hiked, biked, ran or skied on, so there is no shortage of things to do, including apple picking at nearby McKenzie’s Farm in Milton as just one example.”

Noting Travel + Leisure magazine recently selected Pickering House Inn as best New England B & B in New England, Michno said such accolades also enhance “the brand of Wolfeboro.” “I think it is important for all of us in Wolfeboro to think about the kind of experience we hope people have when they visit this area,” he noted. “The key, I think, is to really work to attract families this fall, so we can showcase Wolfeboro as an incredible year-round destination.”
